[Beijing 19 Sep. 2007] UFIDA Software Engineering's components won two Excellent Component Awards at this year's The 2nd Beijing Excellent Component Competition sponsored by Beijing Software Industry Association, Beijing Software & Information Service Industry Promotion Center and Beijing Software Industry Base Public Technology Supporting System.

The UFIDA Application System Development Framework GAP-Mainframe and the UFIDA Workflow Platform Component GAP-Workflow received a first prize and a third prize of the Excellent Component Award separately for outstanding achievements in component development. Chi Jianqiang, UFIDA Software Engineering Technology Platform Development Manager, was present at the awarding ceremony as an enterprise representative and gave a speech entitled The Importance of Component Development to Software and IT outsourcing Service Enterprises.

Undergone a three-round of appraisal of professional document examination, third side testing and experts' commenting, USE's GAP-Mainframe and GAP- Workflow pop put from around 2000 components submitted by more than 60 companies.

Mr. Chi, UFIDA Software Engineering Technology Platform Development Manager, said in his speech, component development serves as the base of IT service providing which could bring considerable benefit of technology and income to IT service outsourcing enterprises. He continued to introduce the achievement of USE in component based software development and design
－ Quick Application Component Development Platform （USE-GAP）. The development of USE-GAP started in 2003 with the aim to solve the problem of software re-use come across by IT service companies and has proven to be at the forefront of component development during the past four years. GAP1.0 and GAP3.0 have received Computer Software Copyright Registration Certificate issued by National Copyright Admission of PRC successively in June 2004 and March 2007.

The annual Excellent Component Award Competition is sponsored by the Beijing Software Industry Association, Beijing Software & Information Service Industry Promotion Center and Beijing Software Industry Base Public Technology Supporting System and supported by Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, which was founded in 2006 to set a high standard for software component development among enterprises in Beijing. 

The 2nd Beijing Excellent Component Competition of 2007 was undertaken by Peking University and Beijing Software Product Quality Measuring & Checking Center and held in Beijing on September 19th, 2007.
