[Sep. 20, 2005 Beijing] — Mr. William Hayes, the Quality Manager for the SEI Appraisal Program, and Mr. Malcom Patrik, the SEI expert of of Carnegie Mellon University, visited UFIDA Software Engineering Co.,Ltd.(USE). They communicated on CMM /CMMI with the QA staff of USE and knew the applicated status and difficulties of CMM/CMMI system. Meanwhile, the experts gave the proposal for the CMM/CMMI system of UFIDA Software Engineering.
Mr. Will Hayes has been with the SEI for 15 years, and has been a principle contributor to the development and transition of process appraisal methods – including the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI), CMM Based Appraisal for Process Improvement, and Interim Profile. He is currently completing the work to document the newest SCAMPI Appraisal Methods – SCAMPI B and SCAMPI C. Mr. Hayes is also an experienced instructor and consultant in the field of measurement and the application of statistical methods. He was one of the developers of the SEI course “Statistical Process Control for Software” and has a keen interest in the practices of high maturity organizations. Mr. Hayes trained a large proportion of the Lead Appraisers authorized by the SEI, and has a wide range of experience serving as a process improvement consultant for organizations engaged in model-based process improvement and enterprise performance management.
